I graduated in August 2006 with a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction in the field of mathematics education from Texas A&M University. I incorporated my consulting business in Arizona in October 2007. I currently work as an educational consultant/grant writer. I am also editor of Texas A&M University's mathematics newsletter for teachers, Focus on Mathematics Pedagogy and Content.

I recently served as Lecturer/Grant Writer in the Teaching, Learning, and Culture Department at Texas A&M University, while continuing to provide consulting services to clients. During my hiatus in College Station, TX, I also served as Assistant Research Scientist in the Department of Mathematics. Prior to 2009, I worked full-time as Curriculum Developer/Instructional Designer of online high school mathematics lessons for Integre Technical Publishing Co, while concurrently serving as a consultant. Prior to this position, I worked as Professional Development Coordinator for the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) in Reston, Virginia. During my time as a graduate student at Texas A&M, I served as Site Coordinator of MathStar, a large federally funded grant, serving underprivileged populations of middle school students and their teachers. I also taught online professional development courses for in-service teachers. Before starting my doctoral work, I worked as an elementary school mathematics teacher.
